Welcome to the Curative Hypnotherapy Clinic

The Curative Hypnotherapy Clinic has eight registered hypnotherapy practices offering hypnotherapy to Birmingham and the West Midlands.

At the Clinic we have several long standing, caring and professional hypnotherapists who are registered with all the leading hypnotherapy organisations including the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. Our therapists with the most experience and qualifications are also listed on the respected NHS Directory of Complimentary and Alternative Practitioners. The founders of the Clinic are qualified to degree/masters level facilitating the treatment of even the most resistant of problems.

David Grinnell Every therapist at the Clinic has been treated for several of the conditions listed on the right of the page. Their personal understanding of the conditions and treatment has, we believe, led our therapists to be both effective practitioners and compassionate in their practice. Our therapists are approachable and open and offer a safe and caring place where patients can come and get help with whatever problem or issue they want to deal with.

Deborah Mills As well as clinical hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) our therapists practice an advanced form of hypnotherapy called ‘curative hypnotherapy’. The difference with this form of therapy is that with it we identify the root cause of a problem to ensure that it is resolved completely and permanently. Hypnotherapy doesn’t have to be about suppressing your problem, it can offer so much more. By identifying and resolving the root cause, curative hypnotherapy ensures your problem is dealt with completely without any chance of it re-occurring in future.

The hypnosis used in therapy is of a different type to that used during stage hypnotism. The state of hypnosis in therapy is similar to when you are just falling off to sleep, you will always be aware of what is happening during your session, remaining in control at all times so you can even bring yourself out of hypnosis, should you wish to.

The curative hypnotherapy techniques we use have allowed patients to be treated for not just the conventional problems of anxiety*, phobias, weight loss* and stopping smoking* but also a wide range of other conditions, a selection of which are listed on the right of the page.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of treatable conditions, click here for the complete list.

There is a significant quantity of research into the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in treating a range of conditions and for those asterisked above the research can be sourced from the page for the condition or our research page.

Should there be a lack of research for your condition this will be owing to a lack of funding. In the meantime there is a significant amount of circumstantial evidence from a considerable range of patients and therapists, including ourselves, to suggest hypnotherapy is an effective technique for treating all the conditions named to the right of the page and on the complete list.
